Hey Brother
I have so much to say but it’s supposed to be a 1 page maximum paper. I want to work at the Open Door Community. We walked in and it smelled like home. Mr. Loring was extremely passionate…almost to a fault. His love for Christ was obvious in his service to those less fortunate but his condescending and angry tone toward some of my classmates showed a different side. You have to love those who are poor and those who are wealthy, even when their opinion varies from yours or when they refuse to change it in order to appease yours. I wish we would have had more time to talk to them. I felt like it was so short. I wish we would have gone to the Open Door Community more often. It was truly inspiring. They have so many ideas and it would be great to work side by side with them on these things. Hopefully, when I don’t understand, I won’t be reprimanded in a belittling tone of condecension leaving the place feeling slighted from a fellow brother. “Well Rachael, the majority would agree with you on that.” Maybe it’s my fault for not seeing clearly enough, but maybe Christ loves me anyway.
